About

Since 2009, I have experienced daily chronic pain. First it was migraines, but when those faded somewhat my body seemed to sense a void. Almost like an understudy in a play, my previous TMJ pain—coupled with neck and shoulder pain—took center stage. My life became someone else’s. My identity as a competent individual contributing (in the very smallest of ways) to keeping our society’s larger cogs turning suddenly became something reminiscent from a John Malcovich film. I had gone off-off-(off?) Broadway and become my own lead actor in a very unscripted play.

The posts you will read within are—in some cases—well-thought out, and in others, borne from very raw moments. My need is to give words to my pain; my hope is that someone, somewhere, at some point might find some consolation in my journey.
